The Kentucky Neck All Weather Pro is a detachable, waterproof neck cover with 150 g fill that attaches to the Kentucky Turnout All Weather Pro turnout rug. It is intended for horses that live out in autumn and winter and whose neck you want to cover as well. The 1680 denier polyester outer fabric is built to cope with everyday life in the field. About this neck cover A turnout rug protects the body, but in rain and cold the neck stays exposed. With a detachable neck cover you decide when to add that extra protection: on a wet winter day you attach it, on a milder day you leave it off. Kentucky designed this neck cover to go with the Turnout Rug All Weather Waterproof Pro. The outer fabric is 1680 denier high tenacity polyester with a waterproof, breathable PU coating. The denier figure refers to the thickness of the yarns: the higher it is, the stronger and more hard-wearing the fabric. Kentucky also describes the fabric as dirt-repellent. The 150 g fill gives the neck insulation for the colder season. The edge behind the ears is trimmed with the artificial rabbit fur Kentucky also uses in its Pro rugs. This soft edge is there to stop the mane rubbing at that point. The rest of the inside is not made of rabbit fur. You attach the neck cover to the rug with 4 strong Velcro fastenings and close it under the neck with 2 Velcro fastenings.
