The Angels' Share eau de parfum by By Kilian is an oriental vanilla fragrance for women and men, created by perfumer Benoist Lapouza and released in 2020. It delves deeply into the cellars of the founder’s mind and memory, exploring its most mysterious dimension: "la part des anges" or "the angels' share" – the evaporation of alcohol in oak barrels that rises as it ages, a quiet offering to the gods. The composition contains the essence of cognac, extracted from the liqueur to impart a natural caramel color. By Kilian is a luxury perfume brand from Paris, founded by Kilian Hennessy – grandson of the founder of the LVMH group (the H in LVMH stands for Hennessy, the famous cognac-producing family). He spent his childhood among the family’s wine cellars in Cognac. After completing a program in communications and linguistic studies, where he wrote a thesis on the semantics of scents in the search for a common language between gods and mortals, Kilian continued to study with some of the greatest noses in perfumery, honing his craft and creating perfumes for some of the best fashion brands in the industry. In 2007, he launched his own perfume house, in line with the family’s long tradition of producing luxury goods. The brand emphasizes ecology and sustainability through the use of refillable packaging. Fragrance composition: <ul><li>Top notes: cognac;</li><li>Heart notes: cinnamon, tonka bean, oak, and hedione;</li><li>Base notes: vanilla, praline, sandalwood, and candied almonds.</li></ul> Usage instructions: Spray onto the skin from a distance of 15 cm. Focus on pulse points – wrists and the bends of elbows and knees – to maximize the fragrance. Avoid contact with eyes.
