The eau de parfum Playing with the Devil by the brand By Kilian is a sophisticated and captivating unisex fragrance, launched in 2013 and created by the renowned perfumer Calice Becker. By Kilian is a luxury perfume brand from Paris, founded by Kilian Hennessy – the grandson of the founder of the LVMH group (the H in LVMH stands for Hennessy, the famous cognac-producing family). He spent his childhood among the family vineyards in Cognac. After completing a program in communications and linguistic studies, where he wrote a thesis on the semantics of scents in the search for a common language between gods and mortals, Kilian continued to study with some of the greatest noses in perfumery, honing his craft and creating perfumes for some of the best fashion brands in the industry. In 2007, he launched his own perfume house, in line with the family’s long tradition of producing luxury goods.
